After over 80 years as a garage, South Cambs Motors in Station Road Melbourn closed its doors for the very last time on Saturday 21st of December. Citing severe competition from modern technology as its reason for closing there is now plenty of speculation as to this important village site’s future.
Terry Dashwood, whose family the business has been in since its inception, stated that the unique character of the main building would be retained, and that it would be refurbished in the New Year.
