Gt Chishill Windmill Open Days
We have organised a number of Open Days on Sundays through the Summer when you can come and be shown the inside of the windmill. It still has all the machinery that the miller used so you get a real feel for what it was like to work in a windmill. And if the wind varies whilst you are there you will feel (and hear!) to mill turning on its post.
It is nearly the Summer and what better time for a picnic and tour of the Windmill? On Sunday 5th June (13:00 to 16:00) come and celebrate Her Majesty’s Jubilee at the Windmill. We will have a band, games, tours, BBQ and food and drinks.
If you can’t make that then the Windmill will be open for tours on the following Sundays 19th June (10:00 to 13:00), 3rd July (10:00 to 16:00) and 17th July (10:00 to 16:00).
Donations all go to preserve our lovely windmill for all to enjoy. If you can’t make any of these you can support the windmill by visiting our web page www.greatchishillwindmill.com and making a donation or buying some of our windmill themed gifts.
All visitors are shown round by a guide and there is no specific charge for a tour but we are very grateful for donations that will help to keep the mill in the condition you now see it.
