We have an enthusiastic group of trained volunteers who lead our two, weekly Walking for Health walks at Wandlebury. The first is slightly faster while the second is more leisurely, accommodating people who are not so fit or are newcomers to the group. Each walk lasts around 30 minutes and covers about 1.5 miles. With the slower second walk, we offer a shortcut back to the base if needed. This social group meets all year round at 10am every Thursday morning, with the slower walk starting at 10.30am. Walks are well-attended, with 50-60 people joining most weeks. Teas and coffees are available afterwards. www.cambridgeppf.org/whats-on

Every Friday, 2.05 – 2.35pm, Royston Library. Toddler Tales is the perfect step on from Baby Rhyme Time, with a mix of lively stories and rhymes for you and your child to join in with. The stories chosen are aimed at toddlers and pre-school children but babies are welcome too. Sharing stories and rhymes with your child helps to develop their listening skills, language and imagination. Enjoy the stories together by sitting with your child during the session and then spend time browsing and borrowing from our extensive range of picture books. This activity is free; however we do welcome a voluntary contribution of £1 per family. www.hertfordshire.gov.uk

On this half day course you will learn about a new form of monoprinting using gel plates and acrylic paints, which is exciting and creative. You can use it to transfer images frommagazines and create layered prints using masking and textured materials. Gel Plates are a flexible plate made of a thick single layer of a gelatin-like plastic material which contains mineral oil. This plate is stable and reusable if it is cleaned after each use. They are durable and long lasting and are ideal for monoprinting without a press. Cost of £45 includes all materials. To enrol visit: www.curwenprintstudy.co.uk or call 01223 892380.
