Looking After You: New Year, New Wellbeing

Looking After You: New Year, New Wellbeing

Welcome to 2021, isn’t is a relief to arrive here? As we step away from the events of 2020 and journey into a New Year, make plans to begin with an abundance of self-care to ensure you start the year the best way you can. Here are my five best tips to help you on your way;

1. Eat your greens. Your body will thank you and so will your mind. Studies show eating leafy green vegetables are an important part of a healthy diet. They’re packed with vitamins, minerals and fibre but low in calories.

2. Diffuse Essential Oils. Introducing essential oils into your daily life can have a huge impact on how you feel. My favourites are Lavender for sleep, frankincense for the immune system and eucalyptus for uplifting effects.

3. Mindfulness. Using an app or simply listening to soft music for as little as 5 minutes can reduce stress and promotes emotional wellbeing.

4. Exfoliate. Removing dead skin cells on your face and body is the key for youthful looking skin. Regular exfoliation results in fewer breakouts, increased collagen and healthier skin.

5. Nature. If I have learnt anything in 2020 it is that nature is beautiful and how it can really benefit our whole health by simply stepping outside. So growing plants, stepping outside or going on hikes even when cold can really improve your general wellbeing.

Happy New Year to you all, wishing you all the love and gratitude.
