Looking After You: What is Earthing?

July 31, 2019 by thelistingCath

What is Earthing?

Earthing is having a lot of attention at the moment, so I took the time to find our what it is and see if kicking my shoes off will make me feel better. And it really is quite simple. You literally connect your feet to the ground. Without having any shoes or flooring between you and the Earth.

This fast-growing movement is based upon the discovery that connecting to the Earth’s natural energy is foundational for vibrant health. Just as the sun gives us warmth and vitamin D the Earth underfoot gives us food, water, a surface to walk, sit, stand, play and build our homes on and most importantly a natural and gentle positive energy.

Lacking in this energy can be the difference between feeling good and not so good, having lots of energy, sleeping well or not. When we make direct contact with the surface of the Earth our bodies receive a charge of energy that makes us feel good.

So the next time you’re hanging the washing out kick your shoes off and feel that connection, embrace the muddy feet and feel good.

Behind closed doors at Royston Police Station Policing across Britain is changing in response to new technology, the changing nature of criminal activity and reduced resources, and Royston is no exception. Hidden Royston: Keeping Royston Safe?

Hidden Royston: Keeping Royston Safe?

A straw poll of residents in Royston High Street one grey Monday morning found a broad acceptance of CCTV cameras in public places. “If you’ve nothing to hide, why would you worry?” was a typical response, and others were reassured and felt safer. I was standing under one of the CCTV cameras in 11 locations around the town centre and it was … [Read More...]
