Melbourn Springs: Ambulance Crews Receive Gifts
The Ambulance Staff Charity (TASC) is a charity established 5 years ago to support frontline and support staff with their mental, physical and financial wellbeing. The charity does not receive any Government funding and relies solely on donations.
Karen Allen, the General Manager of Melbourn Springs Care Home, got her team together to make and deliver delicious homemade cupcakes for the local EEAST ambulance teams and 999 call centre staff in order to say thank you for all their hard work.
Karen said: “TASC is an incredible charity, we thought this was a great way to express our thanks and gratitude to the whole of the ambulance team and the people behind the front line too. The stresses the staff surely have faced over recent months and continue to face daily must be incredible – we need to support them in any way we can!”
The Melbourn Springs team were met by Area General Manager, Maya who was delighted to receive the cupcakes on what was a dull and dreary Friday afternoon to share with her staff and colleagues. There were smiles all round and the cupcakes were very much appreciated.
