Museum Musings: Royston Museum is Open!

Museum Musings: Royston Museum is Open!

We opened on Saturday 31st July and it was wonderful welcoming our visitors back.

We’ve got some new displays to show you. From 4000 year old mammoth teeth to a shirt from the 2012 London Olympics. From the Green Plunge swimming pool to Royston Cave. We’ve got quite a varied collection on display.

We’ve got free trails for kids – help find the knitted circus mice or try our quiz. Will you be able to find the hipposandal?

You can also see a display by Royston Girl Guides celebrating 100 years of Guiding in Royston. If you’re part of a local group and want to find out about putting on a display in the museum, get in touch at assistant@roystonmuseum.org.uk

Our art gallery has a selection of paintings and drawings from our own collection. Some haven’t been on display for many years.

Follow us on Facebook and Twitter for more behind the scenes snippets about what we’re up to.

We’ll be open every Saturday from 10am – 4.30pm. It’s free to visit us so pop along for a few minutes when you’re passing to check us out.
