Simon Pratt is the proud owner of Simon’s Tiling Services which he has been running for over 14 years now. They can tile anything you want from the smallest to biggest wall or floor, to the more detailed work like mosaics. Simon’s Tiling Services cover the local area of Hertfordshire/Cambridgeshire/Bedfordshire and even Essex. No job is too big or small, they are all completed in the same careful way making sure the customer is completely satisfied. Here we found a bit more about Simon and his business.

What’s your favourite local place to eat? There are quite a few local restaurants I like to eat at
Your favourite local Shop? CTD Tiles
What do you love about your work? I love my job, and the people I meet, and I like to use the latest products and keep up to date with the latest tiling trends. I like having satisfied and happy customers and take great pride in my work.
Favourite thing about living in Royston? Being close to most of my family and friends. Also, being close to the heath is a bonus.
What are you looking forward to most this month? Hopefully some warmer weather, the first BBQ of summer and enjoying the big outdoors more.
What is your proudest moment? I am proud of a lot of things but particularly running my own business, Getting married to my lovely wife Carol, winning ‘Tiler of The Year’ in 2007. I’m also proud to be called Grandad by my 11 grandchildren. I’ve also walked to the top of Mount Teide in Tenerife, the tallest mountain in Spain.
What has been the most valuable life lesson that you have learnt? Live life to the full. I have suffered from Crohns Disease since I was a teenager, so this makes you see life from a different perspective ‘Live Life, Love Life’
How do you relax? I love to have a drink with friends and family. I also love taking long walks over Royston Heath or tending to the garden. When possible, I love to visit the coast or go on holidays.
Four people you would invite to dinner? Of course, I’d invite my Wife, Mum and Dad and Freddie Mercury.
What inspirational quote sums you up? Live life to the fullest and focus on the positives.
Your favourite place to visit? Tenerife, I first visited when was 18 and I’m still going 30 years on and still love it!
