Bassingbourn Ringers will start the commemoration at 10.00am with a 30 min ring of the half-muffled Parish Church tower bells.
The Act of Remembrance led by Revd Dr Caroline Yandell will commence at 10.45am accompanied by a solemn tolling of a single half-muffled tower bell.
At the first stroke of 11o’clock, General Salute and Last Post bugle call will signal The 2 Minutes Silence.
At the close of the Service there will be relaxing refreshments for everyone during which the Village Band will perform a medley of WW1 Songs.

Starting at 5pm in Fordham Hall, there will be an exhibition of WW1 Memorabilia & other items of interest. Refreshments will be on sale.
At 6.30pm a Torchlight Procession to Hitches Field where the main event will take place.
Prior to the Beacon lighting at 7pm, our Curate will give an Address & Prayers followed by readings of names of those killed in action during WW1 in remembrance of the sacrifices made.
At approx 7.20pm a Spectacular Fireworks Display.
Please remember to bring a torch and keep behind the cordoned off areas. Also, Remember your Pets do not like Fireworks, so please keep them safe between 7pm & 8pm on the 11th November.
