The Hub is showcasing the local community once again with a day and evening of activities bringing people together to share in fun, good causes and to enjoy home grown entertainment via the Melbourn Hub Community Showcase.
Starting at midday, the Hub will have a number of stalls on Saturday 13th July featuring a variety of local community groups, raising awareness of their good causes. There will also be quality crafts, goods and local produce for sale. A special feature will be a photographic project by local photographer Guann- Yeu Chin, focusing on community characters and their favourite things about Melbourn.
The Hub cafe will be open serving a selection of cakes and beverages, there will be an outside licensed bar in the marquee and a delicious BBQ to keep everyone fed and watered!
The stalls will finish at 4pm and entertainment will lead us into the evening event which showcases Melbourn singer Tom Froggatt, performing ‘Tom Sings Swing’. Tom is a young performer who is heavily influenced by the crooners of the mid 20th Century such as Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr and predominantly specialises in up-beat classics from the Rat Pack era. The evening will see the continuation of the licensed bar and the BBQ.
Access to any part of the day and evening is free, so come along and support our local groups and charities whilst enjoying food, drink and entertainment at the Hub’s Community Showcase!
