In 2002 an exciting metal detecting find was made on the outskirts of Ashwell and archaeologists were able to excavate the site over the next few years. Further field work, including projects supported by Ashwell Museum and Ashwell Archaeology have added to our understanding of this most unusual and intriguing find.
