Yarn Bombing in Barley

Last year, if you were walking or driving around Barley during December you may have been surprised to see that the six post boxes in the village had been yarn bombed with a Christmas theme.

This year the yarn bombers are also going further afield to include the post boxes in Barkway and Great Chishil. The Barley Knitting group who meet on the second and fourth Wednesday evening each month in the Chequers pub in Barley, wanted to use their knitting skills to help others. They have set up a Just giving page to raise funds for a local charity. So if the Yarn bombed post boxes make you smile or even laugh out loud please donate via the Just Giving page www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Knitbarley

Visit Barley on Saturday 7th December to view our festive post boxes and visit our stall at Barley Christmas Market to boost the charities outreach.
