Friends of Great Chishill Windmill

Our Current Position
The mill is turning very successfully to wind so is offering ever changing aspects to passers-by. Bill Griffiths of MillBill Millwrights has been contracted to visit routinely to maintain the moving parts and check for any wear, so the primary objective of saving the windmill and setting out a plan to keep it in good shape for generations to come has been achieved.

Open Days
As Autumn is upon us, the Friends of Chishill Windmill have decided not to organise any further Open Days until the Spring but are happy to report that the two in September were well received by those who took a guided tour. You can still request your own tour at a time of your convenience by using the contact page on their website.

Choosing the Future Route
Talking are ongoing with the millwright to see whether or not the sails could turn. Keep an eye out for further updates.

On the administration side, the Friends are looking for a volunteer to help with data management and social media management. If you are interested, please get in touch via their website.
