Museum Musings: Positivity Breeds Positivity

DUE TO THE OUTBREAK OF CORONAVIRUS, ROYSTON MUSEUM WILL BE SHUT FOR THE FORESEEABLE FUTURE.

What would a museum be without people? The people who visit, who donate items, who are Friends, who work and volunteer, who comment online.

We want a museum that celebrates the stories of people in Royston and the surrounding villages. We want to celebrate diversity.

This April, we’ll be welcoming Alyssa Van Delle who’ll be leading a Drag Queen Story Time. She’ll be reading children’s stories in a safe, fun, accessible way. It’s a free event.

It’ll be on Thursday 16th April from 2pm – 3pm.

If you have any questions about it, contact us via our email at enquiries@roystonmuseum.org.uk

If you want to help us put on more events that celebrate people, if you’re an artist, or have an exhibition idea, please get in touch. We need people to share their stories. Perhaps you could help us research the stories behind the objects on display. Help us bring the museum to life and build up a picture of our town.

‘If you’re introduced to difference in a positive way, you will react to it in a positive way.’
