Out and About: Royston’s First Virtual Family Festival @Home

Royston’s first virtual family festival to bring the fun, festival spirit into our homes this summer and raise money for a great cause.
Roll up, roll up! Welcome to Royston’s first-ever Family Festival @ Home!

So, we may not be physically attending festivals this summer, but one new, local charity are pulling out all the stops to bring the festival spirit to Royston and into our homes this summer.
Royston-based charity, Friends of Chernobyl’s Children Herts & Cambs, will be live-streaming an interactive, family-fun festival on Facebook, on Saturday 1st August from 5.30pm.
Families will be able to participate and enjoy performances from the likes of singers, storytellers and magicians, safely from their own homes.

The line-up is growing, and includes storyteller and jazz singer, Alex Jones, Magician, Chris Flemming, Nettle the Bubble Fairy from Girlguiding Royston, Lane Academy, The At Home Impro Show with Oliver Senton & Lucy Trodd, Local singer, Melissa Baker, Starlight Stars and others.

The event will be taking place LIVE in our exclusive Facebook group: ‘Festival go-ers of Royston Family Festival @ Home’ from 5:30pm. To join in the fun and get approved access into the group, each family will need to book a ticket via Eventbrite.

Whilst tickets are free, the charity are accepting donations. The suggested donation is £10 per family which will go towards our incredible project to bring 14 poverty-stricken children over from Belarus for a month’s life-saving respite.

*Please note that Eventbrite take a 2% fee to cover costs for this facility.*

Ticketholders will then have an access to the exclusive Facebook group – ‘Festival-goers of Royston Family Festival @ Home’ where the event will be hosted.
There will also be free downloadable PDF Festival Activities – to keep families busy before and during the event 🙂

The charity will also be selling a limited number of their ‘Royston Family Festival Packs’, priced at £10, 100% of which will be going to the charity.
