 Creative Royston is pleased to announce a Creative Writing Competition for 2020 which is open to budding and established authors of all ages in Royston and the surrounding area. Capture the Royston Arts Festival theme ‘A Question of Balance’ in 500 words. How do you keep your life in balance? A panel of experienced writers will select a winner in each of the following age groups: 5-9, 10-13, 14-17 and 18+. Book vouchers to the value of £50 will be awarded the the winners in each age group. The closing date is Sunday 16th August. With Royston Library still closed, the Summer Reading Challenge is taking place online, with a digital challenge platform is now up and running and is FREE for children and their families to join and use, providing a safe and secure sign-up process. This is a great opportunity to develop skills and enjoy reading as a family. Children will be able to set up their own personal reading goals. We are encouraging them to read six books, although this year there is no minimum (or maximum!) number to be read.
